Western Iowa Tech Community College is a publicly supported comprehensive community college serving the Iowa counties of Cherokee, Crawford, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, and Woodbury.

Prerequisites to Admission:

To be admitted to the college, new students must:
  - Submit a completed application for admission and pay a non-refundable $10 procession fee; and
- Submit an official high school transcript showing receipt of high school diploma, or
- submit official documentation that a GED has been received.

Students who do not have a high school diploma or GED certificate must be tested for ability to benefit. Testing arrangements are made at the Student Affairs Office.

Support Services Available:

Note takers, scribes, extended test taking, Aladdin machine for sight impaired, Plato Skill Enhancing Program for remediation, counseling, many other accommodations as requested by student.

Learning Lab consists of the Student Success Center where the Plato Program is located as well as tutors.

Students may access support services by self-identification, also review of entrance assessment scores, IEP students may bring in a copy of their high school IEP to discuss what accommodations they have received in the past, and what they will need for success at Western Iowa Tech.
