Supported Employment (SE)
 
Who: Adults who are ineligible for similar services from Vocational Rehabilitation services or Educational services.
   
What:

Services of instruction, supervision and assistance associated with attaining and maintaining paid employment.
The components are:

1. Instructional activities to obtain a job.

2. Initial instruction on the job (teaching the consumer how to do their job).

3. Enclave settings - two to eight consumers working in different areas of the same business. The majority of employees must be non-disabled individuals.

4. Follow-along - checking in with the consumer receiving services and the employer to find out how things are going and to assist with any problems they may be having.

   
Where: Job placements shall be made in integrated settings with the majority of co-workers being persons without disabilities.
   
Unit: The unit varies according to which component of Supported Employment services the consumer is receiving.
   
Maximum  
Units: This also varies due to the type of Supported Employment services the consumer is receiving.
