Services Provided: Funded by a grant from the United States Department of Education, this Educational Talent Search Program is designed to encourage its student participants to make positive school and career decisions that include completing high school, attending college or other post-secondary training programs, and planning for a successful future. Group Workshops/Individual
Services (Provided Free to 6-12th Graders)
Junior High Student Success (7th, 8th and 9th Graders) is a special component of Educational Talent Search. It is for a limited number of students needing additional help with social and academic skills. Held one night a week for seventeen weeks, the Student Success sites include Leon and Creston, IA, and Bethany, Missouri. Population Served: Two-thirds of students served are from low income families, or are the first generation in family to attend post-secondary education. One-third of students are any others-this opens up to classroom services. Educational Talent Search serves students in all counties of AEA 14, except for Montgomery.
